How to get a trouble-free sleep

A lot of my friends keep complaining about how bad their sleep pattern is… Well, this article is a must read for all of you who cannot get a good night sleep everyday. Read on few tips to fix your zzzz troubles.

1. Have a proper sleep wake pattern: It is easy to give in to the temptation of waking up late in the weekends, however, doing so will disrupt your everyday schedule. Also, if you have had a bad insomnia lasting from many days then getting up at the same time will train your body for the same.

2. Reduce the intake of caffeine - The taste and addiction of coffee or tea might be the reason why you can’t sleep at night. Not only does caffeine spoil your health in general but also ruin your sleep. Alcohol may have a sedative effect for the first few hours following consumption, but it can then lead to frequent arousals and a non-restful night's sleep.

3. Get addicted to endorphin - Working out everyday can improve sleep quality and duration. However, exercising immediately before bedtime can have a stimulant effect on the body and should be avoided. Try to finish exercising at least three hours before you plan to retire to bed.

To induce such an environment, lower the volume of outside noise with the use of earplugs. Try alpinesleep soft earplugs. Also, using heavy curtains or an eye mask to block light can provide darker environment.

5. Reduce stress - There are a number of relaxation therapies and stress reduction methods you may want to try to relax the mind and the body before going to bed. Examples include progressive muscle relaxation (perhaps with audio tapes), deep breathing techniques, imagery, meditation, and biofeedback.

6. Indulge in cognitive therapy - Cognitive therapy helps some people with insomnia identify and correct inappropriate thoughts and beliefs that may contribute to insomnia. In addition, cognitive therapy can give you the proper information about sleep norms, age-related sleep changes, and help set reasonable sleep goals, among other things.

Tips to get a glowing skin - Terrapharma

How to get a glowing and flawless skin? This question is faced a lot by skin specialists and dermatologists everyday. A clear glowing skin is a dream and most of us do everything possible to achieve it. No one likes pimples, zits, dark spots, baggy eyes or dark circles. There are different skin types and different problems associated with them. Dry skin can get flaky and itchy sometimes and needs to be moisturised frequently. Oily skin is prone to acne and greasiness. Some people have normal skin which is the most blessed of all. However, a perfect skin is not neither too oily nor too dry but needs to be taken care with regular toning and cleansing.

So to make your skin a perfect  10/10, here’s what you should do:

1. Stick to nutritious fibre-rich food: It is said that your skin is the reflection of what you eat. Digestive problems lead to skin impurities and troubles; hence to achieve a healthy skin, diet is really essential. Taking in the right amount of micronutrients and vitamins is great for clear skin. Foods should be carefully selected and should be least processed so that the nutrient value isn’t lost during processing. Fresh homemade food should always be preferred over junk food. Grains like buckwheat, brown rice and quinoa and vegetables like broccoli, tomato and beets are very healthy and good for the skin.

2. Consider taking supplements: Natural food sources have always been the best
choice for gaining nutrition. However, the absence of pure and organic foods have made the availability of nutrients more complicated. Thus, supplements are a valuable tool to bridge the gaps these incomplete foods create. Try Omega 7 Sea buckthorn oil capsules. Omega 7 capsules contain sea buckthorn oil extracted from both the berry pulp and seeds. This combination is called SBA 24 sea buckthorn oil. A unique standardised formulation containing all omega fatty acids in the right ratio. Rich in antioxidants and plant sterols, they are 100% plant-based and free from artificial colouring agents. This also makes them perfect for vegetarians and persons who are allergic to fish.

3. Include dairy products: Dairy is one of the richest sources of vitamin A. E.g. Low-fat yogurt has the added benefit of good bacteria that contributes to a happy gut and overall good health. Other low-fat dairy products like skim milk, cottage cheese contain many vital nutrients, including calcium, magnesium, folate, and vitamins A, E and D that promote healthy skin and health.

4. Increase protein content in your diet: Your body works every day tirelessly managing the repairs at a cellular level and battling infections. If you look at the chemistry of your skin, it is made of insoluble proteins and needs protein to repair and rebuild itself. When protein is consumed, it is broken down into amino acids, which pass through the blood and are carried throughout the body. The body cells can then select the amino acids they need for the construction of new body tissue, antibodies, hormones, enzymes, and blood cells. Thus, eating a protein rich diet is highly recommended.

TerraPharma - How to get a glowing and healthy skin?

The most common question ever asked. A clear glowing skin is a dream and most of us do everything possible to achieve it. Almost everyone hates pimples, zits, dark spots and baggy eyes. All of these conditions vary differently on different skin.

So to fall in love with your skin, here’s what you should do:

1. Stick to minimal makeup: Ladies, can you please minimize makeup usage? It is really not necessary to always use a blush, concealer, foundation, mousse or whatever it is. It may add a fine coating to your skin making it glowing skin, but what about your real skin? Is it really glowing? No matter how expensive the brand is, it damages your skin to a large extent. We are not asking you to throw them off your shelf; keep those away for special days. For the rest of the days, tone and moisturize your skin, use sunscreen. Let your skin breathe.

Omega 7 Sea Buckthorn
2. Start taking supplements: Natural food sources have always been the best choice for gaining nutrition.

3. Exfoliate your face regularly: All the healthy skin tips for women say that you should exfoliate your face at least twice a week. Scrubbing your face will rid your facial skin of all the dead cells that might have clogged your pores leading to acne breakouts, blackheads and whiteheads. Scrubbing also improves your complexion, adds a glow to your skin and also clears your skin of all toxins. Don’t keep your skin scrubbing daily, it will make your skin look even drier

4. Never (everrrrrr) skip sunscreen: Use a big dollop of sunscreen with SPF on your face whenever you are going out to protect your skin of all the anomalies caused to your skin by the harmful sun rays. Do not care for the season or whether the sun is out today or it’s cloudy. Use sunscreen always. Beauty experts also advise using sunscreens even if you are at home or inside a car or even if you on a flight. Celebs swear by SPF measured sunscreen to keep skin healthy and free from any diseases or ugly tanning.

Terrapharma - How to make your immunity stronger?

Do you see yourself contracting cold repeatedly while your friends sail through the infectious monsoons unscathed? You are more careful than any of them during the rainy season and the chilling winters, but the truth is no matter how cautious you are, you fall ill very often. Well! This happens because you have a weak immune system.

What is immune system?
The immune system is the body's natural defense that helps fight infections. It comprises of white blood cells,  antibodies and some protein components that destroy any foreign particles. With this, we understand that the immune system is the primary line of defense against invaders. When it senses a foreign body entering the body,  it revs up and multiplies faster. It can recognise millions of different antigens, and if healthy in shape it can destroy all of them. This evolutionary adaptation can keep health issues right from cancer to common cold at bay.

What causes a weak immunity?
Letting the guard loose will always cause you harm.  If the immune system is not in good shape, it is evident that you will catch an infection in its slightest approach.  Weak immunity can sometimes be acquired since birth. Other medical conditions like perennial allergic rhinitis, eczema and respiratory illnesses like asthma can leave the immune system in an overactive state due to which it weakens over time.  Autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis can also weaken it.
Apart from this, a bad lifestyle can also ruin a good immune system. Over consumption of alcohol,  excessive smoking,  unbalanced diet,  too much of stress and lack of good sleep end up draining your defenses.

How can you fix it?

Immutone Shark Liver Oil Capsules
1. Eat Fermented foods: If you are serious about boosting your immunity, then adding traditionally fermented foods is essential. One of the most healthful fermented foods is kefir. Kefir is an ancient cultured, enzyme-rich food full of friendly microorganisms that balance your "inner ecosystem" and strengthen immunity.Besides kefir, other good fermented foods include natto, kimchee, miso, tempeh, pickles, sauerkraut, yogurt (watch out for sugar), and olives.

2. Try Health aids: Health aids like immunity boosters can be of great help. Try Immutone shark liver oil capsules, a product of Terra Pharma,  that helps to enhance immunity for general health and wellbeing.  It contains alkyl glycerol which boosts the production of white blood cells in blood and improves the immune system increasing protection from viral infection and common flu.

3. Use of coconuts and its oils: Besides being excellent for your thyroid and your metabolism, coconut oil is rich in lauric acid, which converts in your body to monolaurin. Monolaurin is the actual compound found in breast milk that strengthens a baby's immunity
A great deal of research has been done establishing the ability of lauric acid to enhance immunity. This medium-chain fatty acid (MCFA) actually disrupts the lipid membranes of offending organisms.
